Creighton University tabs BCS Stats' StatBroadcast for its 2010-2011 Live Stats

OMAHA, NEB. -- Creighton University has selected BCS Stats Systems' StatBroadcast system as its live stats provider for its 2010-2011 athletic events. BCS Stats will provide live streams of statistical information via the web and mobile devices for fans of Bluejay athletics and media members covering the unversity for seven of the school's varsity sports, including mens' and womens' basketball, mens' and womens' soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball.

"We are extremely excited to introduce Creighton University as our newest partner," said BCS Stats president Nate Policar. "We're thrilled that we are able to provide the university and its fans with the ability to follow the progress of their sports teams throughout the school year."

Creighton's live stats will be carried on the StatBroadcast system and available on the web via links from the athletic department's official website at GoCreighton.com. In addition to stat feeds available via the web, BCS Stats' will be coordinating the launch of a mobile-optimized site, capable of streaming the live stats data to web-enabled cell phones and devices, including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and iPad. These stats will be available for fans on the go, including those attending athletic events on the Creighton campus.

"We're excited to partner with BCS Stats Systems for the 2010-11 year as the new platform for delivering live statistics of our home events," said Creighton Sports Information Director Rob Anderson. "We first used them during the recently completed College World Series and were extremely impressed with their multiple screen options, timeliness and functionality to deliver a top-notch product. I think our fans and media will find this to be an upgrade to the live stats services we've provided in the past."

"Creighton will be one of the first schools in the nation to offer mobile live stats for its sporting events, and possibly the only school currently making them available to the entire spectrum of WAP-enabled devices," added Policar. "Mobile stats represent an exciting opportunity to change the way fans experience games on campus, and With their mens' basketball attendance among the top 15 in the nation, this represents a great market for this new technology."

Creighton University is located in Omaha, Neb., with an enrollment of over 7000 students. The school's athletic department currently sponsors 14 Division-I athletic programs and competes in the Missouri Valley Conference.
